Learning to surf is an equal combination of proper coaching, the right equipment and an ability friendly environment. At REAL, we have all three of these dialed. Our exclusive National Park permit gives us access to endless coastline to find the perfect waves for your session, and your own private peak. We teach all abilities beginner through advanced.

Our state of-the-art facility has instant access to perfect conditions for kiteboarding, surfing and foiling.

Semi-Private Lessons are customized around your skill levels and learning styles. Part of the Cape Hatteras surf experience is seeing our unique stretch of coastline, discovering new breaks and learning they work in different swells. Our REAL Surf Coaches will have you dialed in and on the best spot of the day and for your ability. Semi-Private Lessons are booked in groups of two students.

Our Zero to Hero Surf Camp takes you from rank beginner to self sufficient surfer. This five day program runs three hours per day with 3 surfers per coach. Our exclusive permit with the Cape Hatteras National Seashore gives us access to miles of coastline to dial in perfect conditions with no crowds. If you’re looking for the full immersion surf camp experience, this is it!

Custom Surf Camps

REAL Custom Surf Camps include a knowledgeable Surf Coach/Guide, 4x4 transportation and the ability to access the best breaks for the day’s conditions. Our Custom Camp program is just that, CUSTOM. We design the perfect plan for your three day Cape Hatteras surf experience. Custom Surf Camps are booked in groups of 2 or more people.
